Over the past few months, Stichting Enablement, commissioned by KidsCare Kenya, has been conducting an in-depth field review in Lunga Lunga subcounty. Together with the dedicated KidsCare team, we’ve spoken with numerous children with disabilities, their families, and healthcare workers to better understand their needs.

During a recent field visit, Sandra Emons, shared the first findings with the KidsCare Kenya board and local government representatives. The response? Strong support and recognition of the importance of this data.

Government officials called the insights incredibly valuable, and the KidsCare Kenya team is now working closely with stakeholders to develop a concrete action plan—ensuring children with disabilities receive the care and support they deserve.
