We are proud to share that the 2025 Annual Report of Enablement Foundation is now published on our website.
2025 was a year of growth, learning, and stronger partnerships. Across Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, and Uganda, together with our local partners, caregivers, health workers, and communities, we continued working towards a world where children with disabilities are identified earlier, supported better, and included fully in family and community life.
This year, we directly supported:
• 1,680 children with disabilities
• 2,570 caregivers and family members
• 494 health and community workers through training and mentoring
• 264 children with assistive devices and mobility support
Beyond the numbers, we are especially proud of the systems and community changes taking place:
• Earlier identification of children with disabilities through strengthened screening and referral systems.
• Rehabilitation and support services reaching families closer to home.
• Caregivers gaining confidence, skills, peer support, and livelihood opportunities.
• Local professionals and community workers becoming stronger drivers of disability inclusion.
• Growing use of digital innovation and locally adapted assistive technology.
What makes these results meaningful is that they were achieved through strong local partnerships, practical innovation, and a shared belief that every child deserves the opportunity to participate, learn, and thrive. We are deeply grateful to our partners Katalemwa Cheshire Home (Uganda), Multikids Africa (Ghana), Grand Assistive Technology (GAT) Centre and University of Gondar (Ethiopia) and the District Hospital in Mangochi (Malawi) as well as to donors, communities, caregivers, and colleagues who made this work possible. Together, we continue to enable abilities and transform lives.
