Enablement Foundation’s capacity building training on Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation in Somaliland
Enablement Foundation, in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross – ICRC, had the privilege of delivering a hybrid in-person and online training program in Somaliland. The program brought together rehabilitation professionals, including physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, and orthoses and prostheses specialists, to enhance their skills in rehabilitation for children with cerebral palsy.
The face to face sessions, facilitated by Zelalem Dessalegn Demeke from the GAT Center, and the online sessions facilitated by Huib Cornielje, covered key topics including:
– Current evidence-based rehabilitation interventions for children with Cerebral Palsy.
– Functional therapy techniques to improve performance in daily activities and enable participation.
– Family-centered care approaches and strength-based therapy to empower children and their families.
We look forward to fostering further collaboration and sharing knowledge to improve rehabilitation services for children with Cerebral Palsy globally.
At Enablement Foundation, we are committed to offering training programs to equip professionals with the skills needed to enhance rehabilitation outcomes. If your organization is interested in similar training opportunities, please reach out to us.
