We are proud to introduce Empowered by Community, a moving new booklet from our strategic partners in Uganda, Katalemwa Cheshire Home.

With the funding from Enablement Foundation, Katalemwa Cheshire Home was able to support families across Uganda—helping them overcome stigma, poverty, and isolation. Through community-based care, inclusive health services, and the dedication of Village Health Teams (VHTs), children with disabilities and their families found strength, dignity, and hope.

This collection of stories celebrates resilience and transformation: children once hidden are now celebrated, families once overwhelmed are now thriving, and communities once divided are now united in action and compassion.

Empowered by Community is not just a booklet—it is a testament to what becomes possible when support, empathy, and collective action come together.
