About Joyce
Joyce den Besten is an experienced healthcare professional with a background in nursing, health sciences and disability research. She works at UMC Utrecht, where she contributes to strengthening nursing practice, professional leadership and innovation in healthcare. Earlier in her career, Joyce was involved in disability research and international development, including research on support for children with disabilities and their families in Ghana. She holds a Master’s degree in Health Sciences and currently serves as a member of the Supervisory Board of Enablement Foundation.
