Main activities
The Mangochi District Hospital’s holistic approach ensures that children with cerebral palsy and their families receive the care, support, and tools they need to improve their quality of life and participate more fully in their communities. The Mangochi District Hospital runs a specialised CP clinic where a multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive care for children with cerebral palsy. The hospital also trains rural health workers to identify CP early, ensuring children receive timely treatment. Caregivers are educated about CP and given practical support to help with daily activities. Additionally, the hospital has a workshop that creates assistive devices like standing frames, chairs, and rollators to promote children’s mobility and independence.
