Multikids Africa

Vision
Multikids Africa envisions a society where children with special educational needs or disabilities experience full inclusion and participation in all aspects of life, free from discrimination and poverty.
Mission: Working with local and international partners, Multikids Africa promotes inclusive education and well-being for children with disabilities by training educators, empowering community-based health professionals, and advocating for equal access to services.

Main activities
(1) In Winneba, the 100-day program supports parents of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. CBR field workers provide financial assistance, practical support, and virtual consultations with therapists, helping parents set goals for their children. (2) The University of Ghana offers a Cerebral Palsy module for physiotherapy and occupational therapy students to address the shortage of paediatric specialists. Students undergo intensive training and connect with families for hands-on experience, viewing children as integral community members deserving of holistic support. (3) Additionally, Multikids Africa partners with the Pentecostal Church to train volunteers and create parent support groups, combating stigma and offering specialised care, education, and counselling, ensuring a sustainable support system for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
