About Marinus
Marinus Verweij is an experienced international development and health professional with a long-standing career in development cooperation, humanitarian action and organisational governance. He previously served as Chair of ICCO Cooperation, where his work focused on poverty reduction, sustainable development, public-private partnerships and strengthening locally led development, with extensive engagement across Africa and other regions. He has also worked in the Dutch health sector, including as a physician during the COVID-19 response, and has held various governance and supervisory roles. Marinus currently serves as Chair of the Supervisory Board of Enablement Foundation, contributing his extensive experience in international development, health and governance to the Foundation’s strategic oversight.
